Mission Statement:
The mission of the Community Caring Conference is to unite the community by getting to know one another, discussing mutual neighborhood and community concerns, and working together in a spirit of caring and cooperation to resolve those concerns... Ultimately improving the quality of life within the community.
Community Caring Conference (CCC) has many different programs. Block Clubs are groups of neighbors working together to make their neighborhood a better place by getting to know one another. They form Neighborhood Watches, which is a directory of participating residents enabling members to watch out for each others' home and property. CCC also has I-Witness Cards which is an anonymous way to report criminal activity. Graffiti Busters are volunteers who remove graffiti from residences/business's. Child ID-Volunteers fingerprint and photograph children, for parental records in case of emergency. Friends For Victims/Witnesses of Violent Crime Program - CCC volunteers and staff provide friendship and support to victims/witnesses who have been involved in a violent crime. CCC's Hope Skills and Education Center provides dis-advantaged youth with access to homework help, tutoring, computers and mentoring. GED preparation and outreach are also available. A free meal is served to the community once a month by the partners of the Hope Skills and Education Center.
Community Caring Conference (CCC) was founded in 1976 as a grassroots neighborhood organization. Five area churches founded the organization to: Improve neighborhoods, address rising crime, increase neighborhood awareness. Since this founding over 150 block clubs and neighborhood watches have been organized.
Community Caring Conference is a 501(c)(3) registered organization.
