Help For Cancer Victims

Stand Against Cancer
After receiving word that this grant was renewed, Advocate Nora Steele has made presentations to the ESL Class at Church of Peace and to a group at Century Woods. Referrals have been written, and a meeting has been scheduled with the director of Community Healthcare to obtain goals for this year’s program. Nora also works with Kelli Evans of the American Cancer Society. In November, Nora reached out to 519 clients, and in December 432 people were reached. An article was presented in the Rock Island Argus on January 9th highlighting this grant and what it brings to the community.
