IDENTIFICATION OF A SUSPECT

When calling the police for a suspected person (prowler, etc.), be sure to give all the information you can to assist in the identification of a suspect.

 

 

1)  HEIGHT: if you don't know, use someone else about the same height as an example.

2) WEIGHT: same as above.

3)  HAIR: color, length, texture (curly, fancy hairdo, etc.), Hat?

4)  EYES: color, close-together, cross-eyes, glasses (metal, plastic-type, etc.)

5)  CLOTHES: jeans, shorts, shirt, jacket, color, marking, long/short sleeves,

Condition (torn, neat, clean, greasy).

6)  VOICE: accent, (southern, Spanish, etc.), loud, soft, feminine, gruff, etc.).

7)  JEWELRY: Necklace, rings, earrings, watches, (which arm watch is on).  This lets the expert tell if the suspect is left or right handed.

 8)  WALK: Swagger or limp, etc.     

9)  FACIAL HAIR: Mustache, beard, color, texture, & style.

10)  SCARS:  Face, arms, hands, (include tattoos).

11)  NOSE: size, freckles, etc.

12) LIPS:  Thick, thin, wide mouth, teeth  

13)  EARS: Big, small, weird shape.

 14)   BODY SHAPE: Round, stocky, muscular.

15)  WEAPONS: Gun, knife, color, size type (revolver, automatic), plastic/wood grips.

16) SKIN TONE

 Any information you can give the police is helpful even if you think it's not important.
