CCC Council Sponsors Annual Poster Contest

For the 7th year the Community Caring Conference Council has sponored a Poster Contest for Earl Hanson Elementary students. This year's themes were:

1) Anti-Smoking 2) Guns, Gangs and Bullying 3) Drugs & Alcohol and 4) School Pride for the 1st and 2nd graders.
Students were asked to draw and submit a colored picture in one of these categories. Every student that participated received a certificate and/or honorable mention ribbons.

According to Council President Gary Wetherell, the students are excited about the contest because not only is it fun, but a learning experience for them. If your school is interested in participating next year, call the CCC office at 786-0345.

Community Caring Conference announces their online Community Event Calendar submission request form. The Community Events Calendar accepts submissions for events of interest to Rock Island and Quad City residents. Do you have an event you would like to request be added to our community calendar?
